How to Create Beautiful Organza Wedding Favors

September 13, 2008

Organza fabric is a beautiful sheer fabric that is used for many aspects of wedding decorating. I love the beautiful colors Organza comes in and how it creates a romantic atmosphere.

One use for organza during a wedding reception is for wedding favors. It is often difficult to purchase wedding favors inexpensively. Therefore, the best way to have terrific, romantic wedding favors for less money is by creating them yourself.

Determine the Wedding Favor

In order to do this, first select the item you would like to offer your guests. Depending on the price range you decide upon, you could offer one of the following wedding favors: a photo frame with your photo in it (Small photo frames can be purchased for as little as $1 each and you can offer one photo frame per couple – reducing your cost to a little over 50 cents a person. Photos can easily be printed on photo paper inexpensively from your printer if you buy ink refills.), a candle, candy, mints, a treasure box with some small treasure inside, wedding bells, 2 heart shape soaps and so much more.

Purchasing the Organza Fabric

Next, purchase the organza fabric which matches your wedding colors. Organza fabrics can be purchased inexpensively at In-weave Fabric. Visit them online at: http://www.inweavefabric.com and http://www.inweave.com.

The colors of my wedding were very similar to the Royal Blue Plum Organza fabric offered at Inweave fabrics. It is a beautiful multi-colored organza that changes color as you move it from blue to plum! The beautiful and wide arrange of fabric at Inweave fabrics is amazing. You can check it out here!

Use the Organza to create Your Own Fabric Bag

You can either wrap the organza fabric around the wedding favor and tie it at the top or you can make your very own organza fabric bags. Here is the link to creating your very own fabric bag.

For directions on how to work with organza fabric, you can visit the following website:

http://www.essortment.com/hobbies/sewingcraftsho_sigq.htm

Here is an example of what the bags will look like when they are completed:

Weddings are expensive. Using organza fabric to beautify your wedding favors will save you lots of money and create the simply romantic atmosphere you desire.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I pray God will bless your marriage and help your wedding go smoothly. This is a stressful time but the benefits of being married to the one you love are well worth the effort involved. These inexpensive wedding gifts will offer a treasure to your guests to commemorate the celebration!
